The shape of Oklahoma business
Oil and natural gas remain a pillar of Oklahoma's economy, and Cushing is one of the best-known crude oil storage and pipeline hubs in the country. Around the producers sits a large ring of service, equipment, trucking and fabrication companies whose revenue rises and falls with drilling activity. Those firms need to see job margin quickly, manage equipment as fixed assets, and scale headcount up and down without rebuilding their systems each cycle.
Aviation is the other big story. Tinker Air Force Base anchors a cluster of maintenance, repair and parts suppliers around Oklahoma City, and Tulsa has a long aerospace history of its own. Add cattle and wheat across the western half of the state and a healthy base of regional distributors, and you get a mix where job costing, serialized parts and seasonal inventory all show up in the same sales pipeline.

Oklahoma questions we hear
Is Business Central a good fit for an oilfield service company?
For many small and mid-sized service companies, yes. Jobs and job tasks give cost and revenue per well or customer, and fixed assets track equipment and depreciation. Field ticket capture is the part that needs design, often through a Power Apps form or an integration with a field app. If you run a very large fleet with complex dispatch, we may recommend Field Service alongside it.
Can it handle serialized aircraft parts?
Business Central supports serial and lot tracking on items, with tracing forward and backward through purchases, transfers and sales. Certificates and trace documents can be attached to item tracking or receipt records. Full regulatory maintenance tracking for aircraft is a specialized requirement, and we will tell you if a dedicated MRO system should sit beside Business Central. That decision is made before you license anything.
How do you handle the time difference?
Oklahoma is on Central Time and Phoenix stays on Mountain Standard Time all year. That puts you one hour ahead of us in winter and two hours ahead in summer. We book workshops in your morning and early afternoon, which is comfortably inside our day. Go-live weekends are covered on your clock.
We are on QuickBooks Enterprise. Is Business Central worth the change?
It is when the business needs real inventory control, multiple entities, job costing or approvals that QuickBooks handles with workarounds. If none of that hurts yet, staying put may be right. Our QuickBooks Enterprise comparison lays out the differences plainly. A short call will usually settle it.
What will the project cost?
We price each engagement after scoping, in writing, against a defined plan. The effort depends on modules, data, integrations and training, so a number on a web page would mislead. Microsoft sets licence prices and publishes them on its site. Our pricing page explains the engagement models.
