Cookies, session storage and why the difference matters
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, and your browser sends it back to that site on every later request. Cookies are how many sites recognize returning visitors, measure traffic and follow people across the web for advertising.
Session storage is a separate area inside your browser. A page can write a value there and read it back while the tab stays open, but the value is never sent to our server with your requests, and the browser deletes it when the tab or window is closed. That is the only storage this site uses at the moment.
Everything this site keeps in your browser
The contact form stores nothing in your browser
Our enquiry forms do not set cookies. A script in the page checks that the name and email fields are filled in before anything is sent, and highlights any field you missed. Nothing you type is saved on your device.
When you press the submit button, the fields you filled in are sent to our own server. The server emails the enquiry to Sataware staff so a consultant can reply, and keeps a copy in a log file on the same server so an enquiry is not lost if an email fails. Along with your message, the server records your IP address, the page you sent the form from and the time. How that information is used and kept is covered in our privacy policy.
What we do not do with your browser
- βNo analytics cookies or visitor counting scripts from outside companies
- βNo advertising cookies, remarketing tags or social media pixels
- βNo selling or sharing of browsing data with data brokers
- βNo fingerprinting of your device to recognize you on later visits
- βNo session recording of your clicks, scrolling or typing
- βNo embedded share buttons that load code from social networks
How to clear site data yourself
- 1
Close the tab
The dx-exit flag lives in session storage, so closing the tab or the browser window removes it. For this site, that is usually all you need to do.
- 2
Chrome
Open Settings, then Privacy and security, then Delete browsing data (older versions call it Clear browsing data), and tick cookies and other site data.
- 3
Microsoft Edge
Open Settings, then Privacy, search, and services, then choose what to clear under Clear browsing data.
- 4
Firefox
Open Settings, then Privacy and Security, and under Cookies and Site Data choose Clear Data or Manage Data to remove one site.
- 5
Safari on a Mac
Open Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data, search for the site and remove it. Menu names shift between browser versions, so the wording on your screen may differ slightly.
Other websites, changes to this policy and who to contact
The footer links to our pages on LinkedIn, X and YouTube. Those are ordinary links: nothing from those networks loads on our pages. If you follow one, that site applies its own cookie policy.
If we ever add analytics, a chat tool or anything else that stores data in your browser, we will update the table above and the date at the top of this page before it goes live. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Questions go to hello@d365consultant.com, or by post to Sataware Technologies, 217 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85004.
Common questions about cookies on this site
Does d365consultant.com use cookies?
No, the site does not set any cookies of its own today. The only value it writes to your browser is a single flag in session storage, which is deleted when you close the tab. We chose this deliberately: a consulting site does not need to follow visitors around to answer their questions.
Why is there no cookie consent banner?
Because there is nothing optional to consent to at the moment. Consent banners exist to ask permission for analytics and advertising cookies, and we use neither. If that changes, we will ask before setting anything that is not strictly needed for the site to work.
Do you know who visited the site?
Not from your browser, because we run no analytics or tracking scripts. Like most web servers, the server that hosts the site can keep standard technical access logs of requests, and a submitted enquiry records the details described above. We do not build visitor profiles from either.
Will clearing my browser data break the site?
No, everything will work exactly as before. The worst that happens is that the "Talk to an expert" window may be offered once more on a later visit. Any display preference, if you had set one, would return to the default.
