What the day-to-day work is like
Our consultants spend much of their week with clients: running discovery workshops, walking a controller through a trial balance, or sitting with a warehouse lead while they test picking. Nearly all of it happens over video and screen sharing, from a home office or our Phoenix office, with the occasional on-site day when a client benefits from someone in the room.
Clients are small and mid-sized US businesses, often people who have never been through an ERP project before. That means patience and plain English matter as much as product knowledge. You will explain why a posting group matters to someone who just wants the invoice to be right, and you will be the person who says no to a customization that will hurt them later.
Skills that matter to us
Business Central depth
Hands-on setup of finance, inventory, manufacturing or jobs, and an understanding of how the ledgers tie together.
Accounting sense
Comfort with double entry, month-end close, sales tax and reconciliations, whether or not you trained as an accountant.
AL and extensions
For developers: AL, Visual Studio Code, event subscribers and writing extensions that survive Microsoft's update cycle.
Data migration
Extracting data from QuickBooks, Sage or GP, cleaning it, and proving the loaded balances match the source.
Dynamics 365 CRM
Configuring Sales or Customer Service, model-driven apps and Dataverse, and connecting them to the ERP side.
Power Platform
Power BI models and reports, Power Automate flows and Power Apps for the gaps between standard modules.
Clear writing
Fit-gap documents, test scripts and handover notes that a client can read without a glossary.
Owning a problem
Following an issue through to a fix instead of passing it along, and telling the client early when something slips.
A week in the work might include
- βA discovery workshop with a distributor's purchasing team
- βConfiguring posting groups and dimensions in a sandbox
- βA trial data load and the reconciliation that follows
- βWriting test scripts for a client's key users
- βA support ticket about a report that stopped adding up
- βTraining a finance team on bank reconciliation

Tell us what you have built
A few lines on the projects you worked on, the modules you configured and your part in them helps far more than a list of keywords.

Client work runs across US time zones, so we need to know which hours you can cover.
- 4
We reply when there is a fit
We read every CV. When a project needs your skills, we contact you to arrange a conversation.
Questions from people thinking of applying
Do you have open positions right now?
This page does not list specific openings, because our needs follow client projects. We keep CVs on file and reach out when a project calls for particular skills. Sending your CV now means we already know about you when that happens. We will not contact you about roles that do not fit what you told us.
Can I work fully remote?
Client delivery in our practice is remote first, with most workshops and training done over video. Occasional on-site days happen when a client needs someone in their warehouse or training room. Whether a particular role is fully remote is something we discuss when we speak. Tell us your location and any travel limits in your email.
Do I need Microsoft certifications to apply?
No, certifications help but they are not a requirement to send us your CV. We care most about what you have configured, built or migrated on real projects. Microsoft's exams are a useful way to show product knowledge, especially early in a career. Mention any you hold, alongside the project work.
I come from accounting, not IT. Is that a fit?
Often, yes, because many good functional consultants started in finance or operations roles. Knowing how a close really runs or how a warehouse really works is hard to teach. Product skills can be built on top of that. If you have used Business Central or another ERP heavily in your job, say so in your email.
Talk to us about your project.
Tell us what you run today and what has to change. A senior consultant replies with a written next step.
