North Carolina industries and what they ask of the system
Furniture and home goods
Makers and importers around High Point and Hickory need configurable items, assembly or production orders, and showroom order intake that becomes a real sales order.
Textiles and apparel
Mills and converters track yarn and fabric by lot and dye batch, and cost products that pass through outside processors.
Food and agriculture
Poultry, pork, sweet potato and snack producers in the east care about lot tracing, catch weights handled through units of measure, and grocery chain requirements.
Life sciences suppliers
Contract manufacturers and lab suppliers near the Triangle need item tracking, expiry, quality checks and a clean audit trail.

A dated go-live plan around your busiest shipping weeks, with support through the first close.
Charlotte, the Triangle and the rest of the state
Charlotte's financial services base means plenty of North Carolina companies have finance teams used to disciplined reporting. They expect dimensions, approvals and a close calendar that runs on time. The Research Triangle adds a steady stream of growing companies in life sciences and technology that start on entry-level software and hit its limits when they add inventory or a second entity.
Beyond the metros, the Piedmont's manufacturing base and the agricultural east tend to run older on-premises systems, sometimes Dynamics GP or NAV, sometimes a package that the vendor stopped developing. Those projects are migrations more than greenfield implementations. We plan them around what data is still worth moving, what customizations are really used, and which reports the owner reads every Monday.

What we recommend you decide before we start
- โWhich system owns customer and item master data if you keep a CRM or ecommerce platform
- โHow much transaction history you actually need in the new system, versus archived and searchable elsewhere
- โWho in your team will own Business Central after go-live, since a named owner makes adoption stick
North Carolina questions, answered
Do you have a North Carolina office?
No, our only office is in Phoenix, Arizona. North Carolina projects are delivered remotely on Eastern hours, with site visits planned into the scope when a warehouse walk or classroom training benefits from being in person. Most clients find the remote model faster because sessions are short and frequent. Travel is agreed in advance, never added as a surprise.
Can Business Central run a furniture or textile plant?
For many small and mid-sized plants, yes. Business Central Premium includes production orders, routings, work and machine centers and capacity planning, and assembly orders cover lighter kitting in either edition. Highly complex process manufacturing, with formulas that change by batch, may need an extension. We test your hardest product in a sandbox before you commit.
We are a Triangle startup outgrowing QuickBooks. Is Business Central too big?
Often it is the right next step rather than too big. Business Central Essentials covers finance, sales, purchasing and inventory, and it scales as you add entities and users. If you have no inventory and a small team, we may tell you to wait, and our guide on when to switch from QuickBooks explains the signs. The honest answer depends on what is breaking today.
Can you integrate with our ecommerce and shipping tools?
Yes. Business Central has a standard Shopify connector, and other platforms connect through AppSource apps, Power Automate or a custom API integration. Shipping tools and EDI for big-box retail are common North Carolina requests. We decide the master system for each field before building any sync.
What does a project cost?
We quote after a scoping conversation, in writing, for a defined plan. A web page figure would be wrong for most companies because modules, data volume and integrations drive the effort. Licences are priced by Microsoft and listed on Microsoft's site. Our pricing page explains how our engagements are structured.
