Can Business Central handle Florida county surtax?
Yes, when each county is set up as its own tax jurisdiction and tax areas are assigned by the delivery address. For companies delivering into many counties, a tax engine such as Avalara keeps rates current automatically. The surtax cap on larger single items is a detail your tax advisor should confirm, and it is one reason some Florida firms prefer an engine to manual tables.
Our Panhandle branch is on Central Time. Is that a problem?
It is not a problem for the system, which records transactions in UTC and shows each user their own time. It matters more for scheduling. We book workshops at times that suit both the Eastern and Central sides of the business, and plan cutover so every branch is closed when data moves.
Is cloud Business Central a good idea for hurricane risk?
For most Florida companies it is a real advantage. The system runs in Microsoft's data centers, so a closed office does not mean closed books. Staff can work from anywhere with an internet connection. You still need a plan for connectivity and printing at your own sites.
Do you have a Florida office?
No, our only office is in Phoenix, Arizona. Florida projects run remotely, with on-site days agreed in the scope when a walkthrough or training session benefits from being in the room.
