Which Microsoft product usually leads in each sector
How to read an industry fit
Two companies in the same industry can need very different systems. A food producer with one plant and a food distributor with four warehouses share a sector label but little else. So each industry page starts from the processes that sector usually runs, not from a list of features.
Where the standard product falls short, the gap is usually filled by an AppSource app built for that sector, such as construction job costing, nonprofit grant tracking or food lot traceability. We check that any app we suggest is maintained for current Business Central releases before recommending it.
If your industry is not listed, the same approach still works. A readiness assessment maps your processes to the product and shows where the gaps are.

Industry questions
Does Microsoft sell a separate version of Dynamics 365 for our industry?
Not for Business Central, which is one product for every sector. Microsoft does market industry cloud offerings that bundle Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 and Azure features for sectors such as healthcare, financial services and nonprofit. For most small and mid-sized companies, the practical route is the core product plus the right sector apps.
How do you judge an AppSource app for our sector?
We look at how recently it was updated, whether it supports the current release wave, who publishes it and how they support it, and whether it overlaps features Microsoft has since added. We also ask for a sandbox trial with your data. An app that fails those checks is not recommended, however good the demo.
Have you worked in our industry?
Ask us on a call and we will answer specifically, without naming clients who have not agreed to it. What matters more is whether your processes fit the product, and that is something we can check with you directly in a scoping session.
